Welcome to @USVITourism Week, An Invitation to Our Home
There is a certain indefatigable pride that comes with being a Virgin Islander. It’s a pride that’s most certainly outsized relative to the modest 134 square miles that encompass the collective area of our 80+ islands, but it’s also absolutely understandable if you, like me, ever called the Virgin Islands home, or visited for a time and surrendered to her charms.
St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John – no other English-speaking Caribbean islands are easier for Americans to visit (No passport required for U.S. Citizens!), or, in my very prideful biased opinion, offer as varied and rewarding a series of travel experiences.
A rich history and culture, distinctive cuisine, amazing beaches and deserted islands, hiking and camping eco-adventures, world-class scuba diving, recreational sports of every variety, the Caribbean’s most celebrated emerging reggae scene, even skydiving – our home islands have it all!
To prove it, we’re launching @USVITourism Week today!
Over the next seven days, we’ll shine our spotlight exclusively on the wonders that await you in the islands we once called home. We’ll keep things uncommon, of course, introducing you to a few of our friends, favorite hotels, attractions, and stuff to do to ensure you return from your trip with some V.I. Pride of your own.
Consider it an extended invitation from us to you, to visit the USVI soon.
If you’re on Twitter, be sure to follow hashtag #USVIWeek so you don’t miss a second of our full @USVITourism Week fun!
