Travel the 4 Corners of the Caribbean in 3 Minutes
I suppose it goes without saying that Steve and I travel a lot in our efforts to promote our favorite aspects of our favorite region on earth. Still, sitting here in cold Brooklyn on Old Year’s Day looking back… I think it’s pretty safe to say 2014 was amazing!
I started the year with Steve in South Florida. As usual, we were making plans, goals, and more than a few hopes for the coming year.
From that jumping-off point my whirlwind of travel began!
Antigua (twice), Barbados (twice), Belize, Bequia, Great Exuma, Little Exuma, Rose Island, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent, Petite St. Vincent, the Tobago Cays, Petite Martinique, Union Island, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Croix, and New Providence around four times.
Watching humpback whales, learning to sail, covering regattas, sandbar shenanigans, secluded beaches, black sand beaches, other kinds of beaches, snorkeling with sharks, diving in submarines, fishing successfully, fishing unsuccessfully, climbing Mayan ruins, hunting for jaguars, so much food, even more rum, meeting old friends, losing loved ones, packing, unpacking, repacking, and so many flights!
As I said, 2014 was whirlwind! Here’s just a glimpse:
Wow, what a year.
I hope you all had an excellent 2014 and wish you the best on a travel filled 2015.
Happy New Year, everyone!
