Learn Kiteboarding in Luxury at The Somerset on Grace Bay

The ultra posh and inviting surroundings of The Somerset on Grace Bay hint not even in the slightest at the active travel fun you can have here.

Just look at those pools, the cushy chaise lounges, perfectly manicured landscaping, and many-balconied suites and villas. It all fronts Grace Bay, as sublime a stretch of beach as you’ll find anywhere, blessed with a cool and generally calm surf befitting its name.

It’s not all rest and relaxation here, though, especially now that The Somerset has teamed up with Provo’s #1 kiteboarding school, Turks & Caicos Kiteboarding (TCK), to offer new Alpha-Omega Kiteboarding Experience packages.

TCK instructors are the only ones on Provo certified through the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO), so yeah, these packages are the real deal. So much so, says the resort, that…

With a little time and dedication, guests can go from beginner to expert and become an internationally-recognized IKO Level 3 rider in the same vacation.

Packages range from a short three-and-a-half hour introduction to five days of lessons. Participating guests at The Somerset receive an exclusive discount on TCK professional training, with additional discounts also available for groups. Alpha-Omega Kiteboarding Experience options include:

    * Kite Mudder (3.5 hours) – Introductory level includes lessons on land and sea. $350 per person
    * Level 2 IKO Certification Package (3 Days – 9 hours) – Land essentials, water ready, kite control, up and riding. $800 per person (regularly $965)
    * Level 3 IKO Certification Package (5 days – 15 hours) – Level 2 plus consistency and upwind and toeside/switch. $1200 per person (regularly $1465)
    * Premium Level 3 IKO Certification Package – Level 3 plus private lessons on Days 4 and 5 – $1750 per person (regularly $2015)
