As amazing views go, this one that I enjoyed just yesterday high atop the ancient Elbow Reef Lighthouse in Abaco, The Bahamas is pretty unforgettable.
I’m here as a guest of the famed Abaco Beach Resort enjoying all that the property and its surrounding islands, islets, sandbars, and rocks have to offer.
Like every other corner of The Bahamas, the Abacos are mostly about boating and fun on the water. The past few days spent island hopping, snorkeling, harvesting conch, and sampling rums and cocktails at Nipper’s and Cracker P’s won’t soon be forgotten, believe me.
Still, the most lasting impressions I think I’ll take away from Abaco are of its unique attractions, even more unique history, one-of-a-kind people, and views like this.
I’ll have a lot more to share about my experiences in and around Abaco in the coming weeks. For now, let’s just enjoy the view…
