Could there be a better office than this?
With all its popularity, jaw-dropping beauty, and some pretty wild co-workers, you might think it near-impossible to land a job lifeguarding at Magens Bay in St. Thomas. I mean, who wouldn’t want to work here?
Actually, we always need part-time lifeguards, especially during the season.
Peak season runs from November to May, a time when the beach is always more crowded. Lifeguards here, who work in two shifts (either 8am–5pm, or 9am–6pm), earn $12.50 per-hour, in addition, of course, to all this marvelous sun, sand, and sea.
To qualify, lifeguards must be open water certified – CPR, AED, First Aid – and provide references. The Magens Bay Authority provides training on the special nuances of working here.
