Having It Made In The Mero Beach Shade, Dominica

Sundays are beach days in Dominica, much as they are in the rest of the Caribbean. One of the prime sandy hot spots among locals and visitors alike, Mero Beach satiates completely, both in terms of its cool, calm waters and its handful of charming seaside bars and restaurants.

Romance Cafe is the most popular, especially with visitors, but Vena’s right next door carries a more down-home West Indian vibe that’s impossible for me to resist.

No matter which one you choose, you’ll have it made on Mero Beach when you wander over to these rustic shade structures in the sand post-meal to enjoy a cold Kubuli by the sea.

Wish you were here?
