On-Site Grand Cayman: Eating Turtle is Good… For The Turtles?

I didn’t need much prodding to try a plate of Turtle Stew during my first trip to Grand Cayman this past weekend. I’d known for some time that the cute, majestic and perpetually endangered creatures were a delicacy here, so in keeping with our uncommon travel tendencies, I was anxious to get a taste. I’d read before I arrived that all turtle meat served legally on the island emanated from the Cayman Turtle Farm, so I figured I’d start my culinary quest there. You know, where the meat is the freshest.
Now, bear in mind, the Cayman Turtle Farm is not your typical uncommon attraction.

Taste of the Caribbean: Sea Moss, the Caribbean’s Potent Sex Potion

Valentine’s Day: it’s the one day women don’t mind the one thing that’s always on men’s minds. Sure, you’ve got to come with the flowers, the chocolates, champagne and other such bribes, err…gifts, but at the end of the day, if you’ve got somebody special in your life today, it’s a good bet you’re gonna’ get some tonight.
Being that it’s the sexiest region in the world, the Caribbean is naturally rife with a wide range of love potions, aphrodisiacs and natural, *ahem*, enhancers. Topping the list for many men across the region is a thick and milky creation called Sea Moss.

My Close Encounter with Tobago’s Elusive Naked Boy

Okay, let me begin by saying it’s not what you think. This is not an X-rated account of a sordid, off-the-beaten-path Caribbean adventure gone wrong. Nor did I switch teams on my last trip to Tobago - not that there’s anything wrong with that.
No, this is a somewhat innocent and certainly instructional tale that illustrates how a little curiosity and openness can go a long way toward enhancing your travel experiences, and maybe even the rest of your life.
Our story begins, not surprisingly, at a bar. Specifically, the Khambi Jungle Pub pictured below, which sits on the side of the long and windy road between Scarborough and Speyside in Tobago.
