Halloween Songs – Celebrate the Spooky Season, Caribbean-Style

Halloween isn’t celebrated in the Caribbean, as we’ve noted before. That doesn’t mean, though, that we don’t have our own mystical legends and spooky traditions. To help you add a little Caribbean “spirit” to your Halloween fun, I’ve put together an 8tracks playlist of Halloween songs.

The eight Halloween songs feature a mix of popular and lesser-known artists. Bob Marley, Lord Kitchener, Peter Tosh, Ajamu, King Horror…

Listen closely for tracks on the Lajabless and the Soucouyant. Loyal UC readers may remember these two sexually-charged West Indian spirits from this earlier post.

Even Dracula is celebrated in song to a wikkid reggae beat!

Know of any other supernaturally-charged West Indian tunes that might qualify as Halloween songs? If so, then let us know in the comments section below, or drop us a line here. We are always anxious to expand our spooky music playlist!

Happy Halloween!
