Saturday Video: Checking in at a Treehouse in Martinique
I may be in the Turks & Caicos today, but in typical Uncommon Caribbean fashion, my next travel adventure is already set. In just over two weeks, I’ll be reacquainting myself with the fabulous French-Creole charms of marvelous Martinique!
As of this writing, I have no idea where I’ll be staying, but if I’m lucky, at least part of my trip will be spent up a tree…
Specifically, I’m referring to the unique treehouse bungalow at Le Domaine de Robinson.
Long-time UC readers may remember that we first told you about this eco-chic boutique property back in May 2010. Today, we’re showing you a lot more of it in the video above.
I’ve been watching this video a lot over the past couple weeks, hoping I’ll get the chance to sample the serenity of this secluded seaside paradise. Just look at the lush foliage. Listen to the birds serenading each other… Domaine de Robinson obviously offers an amazing natural experience no matter the accommodations, but that treehouse literally takes the whole experience to another level.
Like all the other bungalows at Domaine de Robinson, the treehouse bears a seductive rustic-cool decor, with local woods and bamboo completing crisp, white linens, flowing drapes and mosquito netting to rekindle the romance and charm of the old West Indies. At the same time, you’re 20 feet up a tree!
How cool is that?!
