Taking a Break From St. Patrick’s Celebrations in Montserrat: Wish You Were Here

The “Other Emerald Isle” takes its annual St. Patrick’s celebrations seriously. How seriously? Well, they actually don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day — they celebrate St. Patrick’s Week!

So, here’s some advice should you plan on visiting Montserrat island during this fun-filled week:

Between all the parades, bush rum, and bachanal, be sure to take a break once in a while.

For us, there’s no better place to relax between soca jams than on the island’s “only white-sand beach” pictured above found at the end of a short hike into Rendezvous Bay.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Week!
