Salto del Limon Waterfall, Samana, Dominican Republic by Patrick Bennett

Leap Into Adventure at El Salto del Limón, Samana

Something about watching this local in El Limón scale nearly a third of the way up the 120 foot heights of El Salto del Limón waterfall, then jump into the small pool at its base makes me a little nervous!

Don’t get me wrong, I like the thrill of jumping from heights. Back home on St. Croix, I was an avid jumper off the Frederiksted pier. More recently in the Dominican Republic, I spent an afternoon jumping off cliffs on a canyoning excursion with Iguana Mama Adventure Tours down Ciguapa Falls. I’ve even been skydiving!

Still… Well, just have a look for yourself:

Think you’d like to give it a try?
