Sailing Off Île-à-Vache, Haiti: Photo of the Day

Sailing, in the leisure sense of the word identifiable to most of us, is not really all that synonymous with Haiti. If you solely follow the mainstream media headlines, it’s easy to think that the only sailing in and around Haiti’s waters involves those trying to “escape” to the United States.

Take a chance at visiting one of Haiti’s offshore islets like Île-à-Vache, though, and you just might learn that there’s a lot more to sailing here than you’ve been led to believe….
