🇱🇨St. Lucia

When You’re Craving a Natural Taste of St. Lucia, It’s Fruitman to The Rescue!

He rides in with a flair fit for Hollywood.

His trusty steed (of sorts): a jalopy of a Boston Whaler seemingly best left in port. Random flags from all corners of the globe fly proudly above the vessel, a telltale sign heralding our hero’s arrival.

Look out on the sea… Is it a bird? Is it a whale? No, it’s…

Unmistakable, uncommon, and truly one-of-a-kind, de Fruitman (his real name is Gregory) has been delivering natural island treats to beach-goers and boaters in the Rodney Bay area of northern St. Lucia for the past 20+ years.

I’ve yet to meet him on my all-too-infrequent trips to St. Lucia (gotta’ change that soon), but you can get a sense for the scene he makes in this great post over Yum Dim Sum.

Ever been “rescued” by de Fruitman after suffering through some seaside snack cravings in St. Lucia? Share your experience in the comments section below…
