Maho Bay St John: Wish You Were Here
Maho Bay St John, an absolutely ethereal crescent of white sand hugging pristine azure seas, rewards uncommon travelers like few places on earth. Brilliant white sands, gin-clear water, towering coconut palms lining the shore providing shade… This is the very picture of an ultra-relaxing paradise.
Not all has to be rest and relaxation here, though.
Perched atop a hill at the far western edge, the fading ruins of a 19th century guesthouse invite exploration. Known as the America Hill Great House, the ruins are accessible via the Cinnamon Bay–America Hill trails.

Snorkeling along the far western edge of Maho Bay St John is also excellent with turtles, stingrays, and tarpon ever-present.
Taking a time-out to soak it all in, your gaze firmly set skyward as you calmly float about as pictured above, adds a little icing to this very sweet experience.
