Escaping Havana to Las Playas del Este

Just twenty minutes east of downtown Havana stretch 15 miles of wind-swept white sands known as the Eastern Beaches or Las Playes del Este. There’s Tarará, El Mégano, Bacuranao, Santa María del Mar, Boca Ciega, Guanabo, La Veneciana, and Brisas del Mar. Sure, Havana is a city of two million rich with nooks and crannies worth exploring around every corner, but sometimes you still need a little beach time and Playas del Este definitely deliver.
