Just Cruzan Just Offshore Buck Island, St. Croix

Many of my favorite memories of growing up on St. Croix were actually spent about a mile and a half north of the island. That’s where you’ll find Buck Island, of course; one of the more uncommon attractions within the U.S. National Park Service.

As the weekends approached, those of us without boats would often find ourselves scrambling for a ride, or inventing creative ways to get to out to Buck Island for the fun.

One friend might windsurf, another would take a kayak. The most intrepid would even make the swim!

No matter how we got to Buck Island, though, the thing to do once on the beach was find a sweet boat like this one and hope you had a friend aboard. If not, we’d make new friends, the sublime setting making easy acquaintances of most everyone around…
