Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO)
The volcano is a central part of Montserrat, and the Montserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO) has been keeping an eye on it for years. Visitors to this center for scientific research should expect a great view of Soufrière Hills Volcano and a well-worn video covering the history of the island’s volcanic activity. And that’s about it. Still, it’s worth a visit if only to support the great work that’s being done there by local and visiting volcanologists.
