Spyglass Hill Villa, Anguilla – View With a Room
Okay, technically this is not the view from the room I slept in at Spyglass Hill. During the course of a weekend getaway to Anguilla last fall, though, this is the view I enjoyed the most. You’ll find it immediately upon exiting the living room onto the covered exterior patio that fronts the pool. This is THE limin’ spot at this luxury villa.
An assortment of comfy lounge chairs, couches, and accompanying tables encourage you to max some relaxing here.
It’s the legendary Spyglass Hill view, though, that makes you surrender to the space completely.
Perched high above Sandy Ground, your immediate gaze is to the beach below. You’re above all the bustle of Anguilla’s busiest bay, but not so much that you can’t hear the party getting started at Elvis’ and Johnno’s as the sun begins to set to your right.
Further afield, the taller peaks of St. Maarten/St. Martin create the illusion of a more mountainous Anguilla. At the night, the lights that dot the SXM hillsides pair beautifully with twinkling stars above and the moonlight dancing upon the infinity pool.
It’s a romantic, intoxicating atmosphere. One so sweet you may be tempted to spend your entire time in Anguilla hiding out on Spyglass Hill.
