Swimming With Sharks In Exuma, The Bahamas

Any week can be Shark Week when you’re visiting the Exuma Islands where controlled encounters with docile nurse sharks are a top attraction. That’s nice and all, but it’s scenes like this that REALLY get our adrenaline juices flowing! Caribbean reef sharks like these are among the most notoriously aggressive of the species. They’re also the most common type of sharks found throughout the Exuma chain. Thankfully, though, they barely pay us humans any mind. Dive into fun on most any offshore reef in the Exumas and you’re bound to see these guys in action, darting about sharply over the reefs in search of food; an breathtaking show well beyond any Sharknado silliness.

Wish you were here..?
