Deal of the Week: Get Paid to Visit Barbados in 2013
I WANT YOUR JOB!
Getting paid to work in the Caribbean travel industry, and by extension travel around the region on a regular basis, isn’t always as sexy and fun as we make it look, but I definitely wouldn’t trade experiencing an amazing place like North Point in Barbados, the spot where I’m pictured at above, for eight hours stuffed in a cubicle.
I’m guessing you agree with me. I’m guessing you’d like to get paid to visit the islands too.
If my guesses are right, then our friends in Barbados have a deal for you!
The Barbados Tourism Authority just launched a new incentive whereby visitors to the island will be provided with “free money” vouchers that can be redeemed at various select restaurants and attractions throughout the island.
That’s right, Barbados will pay you to pay them a visit!
Stay five nights, and you get $150. Stay seven nights or more, and you get $200.
Free money amounts will be awarded on a per-person basis based on a maximum of two-people per-room – not bad when you consider the list of spots where you can redeem your free money includes St. Nicholas Abbey, Harrison’s Cave, The Mount Gay Visitor’s Center, Oistin’s Fish Fry, and a whole host of car rental companies and tour operators.
(See the full list of participating tourism partners here.)
The Barbados free money offer is available for travel through the end of the year – May 1 to December 21, 2013. Eligible travel must be booked between April 29 and June 22, 2013.
