Relaxation on the River in the Rainforests of Costa Rica

It’s virtually impossible to miss out on seeing some seriously exotic wildlife while exploring Tortuguero National Park.

Stretching across more than 120 square miles of virgin rainforest set along the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, the protected area is home to scores of tropical bird and lizard species, three types of monkeys, sharks, manatees, crocodiles, sloths – you name it!

If, by chance, you don’t see any wild creatures while visiting Tortuguero, though, it won’t be a total loss. As you can see, a slow and steady boat ride through the many canals that crisscross the rainforest offers its own zen-like rewards…

Your Monthly Moment of Zen.
