Saturday Video: Marveling at Curacao’s Marvelous Manta Rays

Is there anything cooler to see while adventuring undersea than a manta ray?

Their sexy-smooth and stealthy movements capture the imagination like few other sea creatures. You can find them most anywhere in the Caribbean, though you’d be hard pressed to find a better spot than East Point, Curacao.

One of the best-kept secrets in scuba diving that the region has to offer, East Point covers an area about the size of St. Maarten/St. Martin at the far eastern tip of Curacao. The undeveloped land has been privately-held for centuries, making it near impossible for outsiders to get here by land.

This also makes East Point, and its surrounding waters, incredibly pristine, yielding uncommonly amazing scenes like this…

The video was shot by Turtle & Ray Productions, video production pros based in Curacao that dive with you and create incredible HD videos of your undersea experience. If you like this little snippet, you’ll definitely want to check out some of their other handiwork on their website.
