Snorkeling Tugboat Beach, Curacao
The beach itself is nothing to write home about. Dirt-brown sand, rocks; an altogether arid landscape devoid of the shade trees and soaring palms so common of most everyone’s ideal vision of Caribbean shores. You don’t go to Tugboat Beach for common seaside lounging, though. It’s the beach’s namesake, a tugboat wreck sitting just offshore, that’s the real draw. The depth of the wreck: about 15 feet. The water: crystal-clear as is typical of Curacao. The snorkeling fun: endless.
