From The Window Seat: Flying Over The Incredible Exumas

One of my favorite parts of traveling to the Out Islands of The Bahamas is getting there — specifically, flying low over a string of tiny specks of paradise set in unbelievably clear waters.

The colors alone almost defy belief.

Ultramarine depths, cobalt blue channels, turquoise shallows, and powder blue sandy patches building towards sandbar status… Or slowly eroding away.

And when you run out of words to describe all the blues (azure, bondi, baby, teal, cerulean – phew!) get ready to marvel at the lush greens and stark-white sandy shores!

Flying over The Bahamas, and specifically The Exumas, is an experience in itself — one I’ve tried to capture in the photos below. If you have any of your own, please share them with us in the comments area below.
