Sandbar Seclusion in Exuma, The Bahamas: Photo of the Day
Interspersed among the 360 islands, islets, and cays of the Exumas are little patches of sandy heaven like this. Sandbars: pure Bahamas paradise. This particular sandbar sits somewhere in the middle of the wide open seas that separate the northeast coast of Great Exuma with a collection of outlying satellite cays each bearing colorful names – Rat Cay, Blow Hole Cay, and Square Rock Cay among them. The entire area is heavenly, as I mentioned before, but this particular sandbar stands out as a dream spot for anyone seeking true seclusion.
