Easter Kite Flying Fun in Grenada

In Grenada, as elsewhere across the Caribbean, Easter celebrations are often highlighted by kite flying. Seasonal winds pick up throughout the spring, bringing with them an ever-increasing number of Flex Kites or Mad Bull Kites – names for traditional homemade kites here – to Grenada’s clear-blue skies.

The spectacle culminates on Good Friday, traditionally the top kite flying day here.

One of the best places to take part in the fun is Quarantine Point, a scenic promontory extending out into the Caribbean Sea along Grenada’s southwestern shore.
