Gearing Up (Maybe) For the Guyana Marathon

When you think Guyana, you mostly think of extreme adventuring amid otherworldly natural settings like this one somewhere in a pond deep in North Rupununi.

Okay, if you’re a frequent UC reader then you might also think of rodeos, but you get what I mean.

Almost certainly you wouldn’t think marathons, right? I sure didn’t until I came across the cool little promo video the other day for the 2015 Guyana Marathon

Looks pretty cool, right? Only thing is, we haven’t managed to verify yet whether this is an annual event, or just a one-off staged last month.

If you know, please clue us in so we can see about competing for glory in Guyana in 2016!
