Cap Lamandou Hotel in Jacmel, Haiti: View With A Room

Okay, I’m cheating a little bit with this one as I didn’t actually stay at Cap Lamandou when I visited Jacmel in southern Haiti two years ago. The memory of this view, though, continues to entice me to return and actually check-in some time soon.

Nestled atop a dramatic peak overlooking the Bay of Jacmel, Cap Lamandou is one of those best of both worlds hotels; where you’re close enough to fully experience all the action and attractions of a city, but far enough away to revel in some real rest and relaxation.

Central to the R&R, views like the one above.

All 32 rooms at Cap Lamandou have their own private balconies facing the sea and the surrounding mountains behind Jacmel across the bay. Taking in the scenery from one of the rooms must be great, but it’s not at all shabby from the pool area, where I snapped the image above, either.

Even if you’re staying elsewhere in the area, a sunset cocktail poolside at Cap Lamandou is a must during any visit to Jacmel.

For more on Cap Lamandou, be sure to visit them online.
