French Kiss Valentine’s Cocktail – Rhum and Bubbles in Perfect Harmony
Rhum is king in Martinique, and rightfully so. The queens of this corner of the French Caribbean, though, very much prefer champagne. Indeed, no region in all of France consumes more bubbly. This may seem unbelievable considering Martinique’s rich and uniquely distinguished rum heritage. I’ve been assured on many occasions by local Martinicans, though, that it’s true. It’s little wonder, then, that Martinique has inspired some rather incredible cocktails mixing the island’s two most-loved spirits. My new favorite: the French Kiss Valentine’s Cocktail.
The latest in our series of incredible rhum agricole cocktails from the amazing Ms. Kiowa Bryan, this tipple lives up to its name… and then some.
Passion in a Glass
Think back on your most memorable french kiss. The one from that one special person. A first boyfriend. Someone you had no business kissing. Your amazing wife. No matter who it actually was, somewhere in our memories the magic of that one most incredible french kiss still sizzles.
You know, the kiss that got the butterflies working overdrive in your belly. The one that made you go limp, surrendering to anything and everything that might come next.
Yeah, Kiowa’s French Kiss Valentine’s Cocktail is something like that.
At least it was to me when I first mixed one up earlier today. I was hooked at first sip, the sexy combination of bubbles and Rhum Clément Agricole Blanc reigniting old passions, while at the same time setting the stage for new ones later this Valentine’s Weekend.
