Table du Diable, Martinique: Photo of the Day

Multiple spots in Martinique bear the name Table du Diable (Devil’s Table), the demonic designation referencing the raw, untamed nature of the environs rather than anything Satanic. This Table du Diable is found just off the far eastern edge of the Caravelle Peninsula, the sight of it one of the many rewards you’ll earn for hiking this amazingly dynamic natural wonderland. Almost perfectly flat, the hardscrabble table barely peeks above the tempestuous seas that surround it. Only a devil, it seems, could ever dream of settling down here for a meal…

Le Tombolo de Pointe du Bout, Martinique

The Tombolo de Pointe du Bout sits at the mouth of La Marina de la Pointe du Bout, one of the busiest ports of call in Martinique. If you're ever heading to or from Trois-Ilets, as most visitors to Martinique surely do, you can't miss it.
