The Effortless Attraction of Le Coco Bar in Martinique
Lots of bars put up big, flashing neon lights. Some offer discounts and drink specials – ladies night, anyone? Others entice with sporting events, the chance to meet celebrities, karaoke, crab races and the like.
The Coco Bar does none of these things. It doesn’t have to.
Hovering above the sea at the Hotel Bakoua in the Pointe du Bout section of Trois-Ilets, the Coco Bar does more than enough to entice you by just sitting there.
At first glance atop the stairs trailing down the backside of the property away from reception and toward the beach, a path I’ve trod countless times in recent years after checking in here, the iconic bar always strikes me, its undeniable magnetism drawing me across her bridge for my first ti’ punch in paradise every time.
As shown here, it’s a visit well-worth making any time you’re in Martinique…
