Bittersweet View of East End, Saint Croix From Buck Island
Our home island of Saint Croix is beautiful from any angle, as we’ve noted a time or two before. When viewed from the sea, though, it’s extra alluring. This is especially true for me on the rare occasions that I get to enjoy seeing the East End of Saint Croix from Buck Island. Somehow, my sweet STX seems even more special from here; more jaw-droppingly enticing. The view is bittersweet for me, though, as it always stirs feelings of regret.
Why did I ever leave here?
The question rings through my head every time I take in this view.
Who knows? Maybe seeing it enough times will spur me to return for good…someday.
