Recovering On the Beach in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe
This was the scene that greeted me on my first visit to Le Gosier exactly three years ago. I originally had no intention of liming on the beach. It was the first full day of my first visit to the Guadeloupe Islands in 30 years. There were adventures to pursue! A chance encounter the night before with some rum buddies, though, threw my already scant plans asunder. Several rounds of sampling fine Gwada rhums was followed by pool and more rhum in arguably the dodgiest local bar I’ve ever wandered into. The morning sun came quickly, leading me straight here. To be sure, this plage was not such a bad place to clear my cobwebs.
