Pool-Blue Trunk Bay, St. John

The crystal-clear waters that line Grace Bay in the Turks and Caicos may be more famous. Similarly see-through seas in the Abacos and Exumas lay further off the beaten path. Then there’s Trunk Bay, St. John. The V.I. Massive in me wants to say that the pool-blue water here is the clearest you’ll find anywhere. The claim is debatable, of course, but also beside the point. To me, Trunk Bay tops them all simply because there’s no place like home, the U.S. Virgin Islands.
