Pining for Prune Bay Breezy Beach Fun in St. Croix
With steady winds filling your sails and your bow pointed straight at St. Croix, life doesn’t get much better. You’re set in the heart of Prune Bay just off the island’s northeast shores. This is a prime spot for all sorts of wind-driven water sports – sailing, kiteboarding, windsurfing. When you’re sailing for Buck Island from Green Cay Marina, the winds here slingshot you along your way. Unlike Turtle Beach at Buck Island, though, you usually don’t find too many people at Prune Bay. The breezy beach is blessedly devoid of development, though, which makes Prune Bay perfect to me.
