It’s not the sexiest side of St. Croix; at least, I imagine, not to those who solely love white-sand shores. Personally, though, I love the wild natural beauty of Hams Bay. As covered previously, Hams Bay is located in the remote and mostly hardscrabble northwest corner of our home island. To enjoy this elevated view of the Bay, you’ll have to attempt the hike up to the historic Hams Bluff Lighthouse, which crowns Hams Bluff itself. The views of St. Croix’s north shore from the Lighthouse are positively spectacular. As you can see, though, there’s a good deal to be gained by looking over your shoulder along your way up as well.
