Sunset Sailing Off Eagle Beach, Aruba
Of all the amazing things that I’ll always remember about my recent summer escape to the Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort in Aruba, it’s the absolutely stunning sunsets that stick out the most. Gaze straight out to sea near dusk from any section of the wide expanse of Eagle Beach that the resort calls home and you’re bound to see something that will take your breath away here. A steep drop off just offshore entices boats to hug the coast, the vessels seemingly passing close enough to touch. The sun, too, appears closer, larger; a product of Aruba’s proximity to the equator. As the sun dips below the horizon, many stare intently looking for a Green Flash, but it’s the kaleidoscope of purples, pinks, oranges, and reds that explode across the sky once the sun has disappeared that is the real climax of the show.
