Tensing Pen Bridge in Negril, Jamaica
On its website, Tensing Pen bills itself as “an intimate, romantic, and exclusive Jamaican boutique hotel.” Having visited this clifftop enclave in Negril twice in recent years, I can attest that all of this is true. However, sexy seclusion isn’t all that’s on offer here. This bridge provides thrills aplenty for guests brave enough to trek across. There’s no fear in the footing, though; it’s actually quite firm underfoot. The real excitement comes from jumping off into the churning surf below. A series of ladders and stairs carved into the limestone make it easy to climb back up, and jump back off, again and again and again.
