Buck Island Sunset Moment of Zen
Enjoying all the best that Buck Island has to offer is easy by day. Several boat charter companies operate half- and full-day excursions to the pristine/protected islet off Saint Croix northeast coast. (For the best experience, check our childhood friend, Captain Carl.) As the sun starts to sag in the afternoon sky, though, all of the excursion boats head for port. This makes experiencing a Buck Island sunset a rare and extra special treat. Doing so generally requires having your own boat, or knowing someone who does.
