Exclusively Exclusionary Beauregard’s On The Beach, Saint Croix

Is this not the very picture of comfortable, relaxed seaside dining? A nice piece of shade. Comfy seating. A sweet breeze off the sea. The soothing sounds of gentle waves lightly lapping against the shore… As noted before, Beauregard’s On The Beach is all that and then some. The chic eatery within St. Croix’s famed Buccaneer Beach and Golf Resort is ideal in most every way that appeals to our uncommon travel proclivities. The one big drawback: Beauregard’s is open exclusively to guests of The Buccaneer…only. While I love staying at The Buccaneer whenever we’re back home in Saint Croix, I’m definitely not a fan of exclusionary hotel policies like this. Especially on a small island like St Croix, where all the beaches are public and many local people enjoy dining out.

Wish you were here..? Well, then you’ll have to check-in first.

Editor’s note: The Buccaneer updated its dining policy! Per new copy just-added to the dining section of the resort’s website: “Beauregard’s will be open for lunch daily with reservations required for non-hotel guests.” This is a great and most welcome change that we look forward to taking advantage of next time we’re back home in Saint Croix. If you have a chance to dine at Beauregard’s, please let us know in the comments section below. Cheers!
