Easing Into Sunday Morning Along Cane Bay Beach, St. Croix

Getting an early start to Sunday Funday in St. Croix has its benefits for those who prefer the beach all to themselves and their four-legged furry friends. The crowds that come along as the sun climbs higher into the sky are still hours away. The temps are a bit cooler too. The only sounds: birdsongs, surf, and the sweetest breeze through the shade tree just over your shoulder. This is Cane Bay Beach at 8:30am on a Sunday in mid-March.

Wish you were here..?

West Is Best in St. Croix

The axiom has held true in St.Croix for as long as anyone can remember. West Is Best – much less a reckless boast espoused by the residents of Frederiksted than an affirmation generally shared by all Crucians of the many things that make the left coast of our home island so special.

I noted a couple changes to Shoys Beach on my latest visit to St. Croix just four short weeks ago. None detracted from the usual sweetness here, though.
