Weekend Goals For My Next Trip Home to St. Croix

Stumbling upon heretofore unknown to me beaches has been one of the great joys of my many recent trips home to St. Croix. Yes, I was born and raised on USVI’s Big Island. And yes, STX is small (just 82 square miles). That doesn’t mean, though, that I know every nook and cranny of the island. Saint Croix, like every Caribbean island, is blessed with extremely secluded shores. I’m talking secret spots accessible solely on foot, or by sea. While I love hiking, the scene pictured here holds more appeal to me today. It’s Sunday, after all; a day when my weekend goals are more of the leisurely variety. A Sunday spent beach-hopping around St Croix in style, much as we did a few years ago in St. Thomas, sounds pretty good to me.

Wish you were here..?

Editor’s note #1: Special thanks to our friends at ib designs for allowing us to share this inspirational image captured by the lovely Ms. Nicole Canegata. The sweetest little jewelry store on St. Croix crafts one-of-a-kind treasures emblematic of the soul and incredible beauty of our islands. If your weekend goals involve jewelry shopping, then you’ll want to visit the ib designs website right now.

3 Weeks Ago Along Sandy Point, St. Croix

For many of you, this is the longer, longer, longer, longer, longer, longer, longer winter Bob Marley sang about way back when. Meanwhile, just three weeks ago at Sandy Point Beach back on our home island of St. Croix, I couldn't even spell winter.
