Saturday Video: 3-Minute Culture & Heritage Guide to St. Kitts
St. Kitts: Culture & Heritage from GLEN MILNER on Vimeo.
All Caribbean shores boast their own unique cultural heritage. There are similarities, of course, but when you delve under the surface on your explorations throughout the region, you’re sure to be rewarded with one-of-a-kind experiences you can only have right where you are.
For a quick look at what you can expect the next time, St. Kitts is where you are, check out this amazing video from UK-based filmmaker, Glen Milner.
A supremely talented documentary and commercial director, Milner somehow manages to capture much of what makes the cultural adventure that awaits in St. Kitts so special in a running time of just under three minutes!
The visual images are stunning, with Caribelle Batik, the Scenic Railway, Brimstone Hill, and even the game of dominoes all artfully presented in a way that makes me want to book a flight down there right now!
On my last visit to St. Kitts five years ago, I had the chance to take the Scenic Railway, but I declined, thinking it was a little too touristy for my “uncommon” travel tastes. Hearing the way St. Kitts Heritage Specialist Jackie Armony talks about it here, though, gives me a better understanding of its worth and importance in telling the full story of the island’s heritage.
I won’t make the same mistake next time…
