Anse Marcel, St. Martin – Even Better Up Close

The view of Anse Marcel from high atop the hillside road in northern St. Martin that winds its way down to the sand and the surprisingly uncommon RIU Palace St. Martin resort is one thing… one very good thing, as I noted here.

Still, it doesn’t compare to actually setting foot on the beach and experiencing what you see pictured above.

Positively placid warm seas, soft and brilliant white sand, gentle breezes and inventive cocktails like this keeping things cool, even a cool little hiking trail nearby – yeah, there’s MUCH more to love about Anse Marcel than just the view.

Sprawling resorts are not my usual thing, but my first glance of the new RIU Palace St. Martin has me thinking that this is no ordinary all-inclusive.
