All Lined Up For Pinel Island, St. Martin: Photo of the Day

When you get to a place as amazing as Pinel Island, naturally you want to stay. This tiny island sits in the middle of a Nature Reserve, though. No hotels or guesthouses. No camping either.

The only way to maximize your time out here is by anchoring just offshore.

It’s a pretty popular pursuit, with scores of catamarans, sailboats, and powerboats filling Pinel’s surrounding waters every time I’ve been out here, the lot of them staying well past the last ferry back to mainland St. Martin.
