No really, you really, really do!
Of all the posts we’ve published so far in 2018, this one on Hurricane Irma + Maria recovery efforts in St Thomas and St John is the most popular, not counting travel sweepstakes announcements of course. Noting this, we reached to our friends in the USVI Department of Tourism and put together a weeklong adventure to gauge for ourselves just how things are really coming along in the areas of our home Territory hardest-hit by last year’s storms.
This trip carries added significance for us as it also marks the very first time that Patrick and I will be together in St Thomas/St John. It will also be the first time that Patrick spends any even remotely extended period in St Thomas at all.
To date, St Thomas has served as a veritable turnstile for my bro on his journeys to/from St John. This time will be different, as we mix adventuring and fun with a good, hard look at what’s changed in both islands since Irma and Maria.
Should you consider traveling to St Thomas and St John, USVI this summer?
