Chez Gisèle et Philippe Dream Villa Rental in Terre-de-Haut, Guadeloupe
I didn’t notice it at first. Once I did, though, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The little red-roofed home sporting a charming French-Creole facade nestled just above la Plage de Pompierre in Terre-de-Haut, Guadeloupe. Chez Gisèle et Philippe.
I was perched here, alone high atop Les Roches Percèes in the Bay of Pompierre, admiring the sweeping sea/landscapes, surrounding islands, surf, and serenity. The full scope of it all made me want to stay here forever. I wondered if the red-roofed object of my affection might afford me the chance.
Answer: no… at least not permanently.
You see, the little red-roofed home is actually a villa guesthouse called Chez Gisèle et Philippe.
The property apparently isn’t that little either. Studio, bungalow, duplex, and apartment rate options are available, with rates starting as low as €77 per-night!
According to their website, Philippe is a native of Terre-de-Haut, so I doubt he’ll be interested in parting with the property anytime soon.
If a nice, long extended stay here is all I can get, well, I certainly won’t complain.
