Caribbean Wallpaper Wednesday: Pack it in for Trunk Bay, St. John

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
Every so often, I get an urge. It starts out harmless enough, but before long it’s creeping into my thoughts during meetings, subways rides, and especially when sidestepping piles of poop (hopefully dog) while walking the streets of “The Greatest City in the World.” As time passes, this urge feeds off of every irksome element of city life until it weighs so heavily on my chest, I can barely get out of bed in the morning:
I. Need. To. Travel.
Maybe some of you “suffer” from this same affliction. We could call it Needtotravelitis and start some trials of a green pill from some helpful pharmaceutical that’s proven to take the edge off.
Or! Or, we could just give in to our urges and fly away to a tropical paradise like St. John, USVI! I know there’s uncertainty in the stock market, the country is being run into the ground by self-serving politicians, and Steve Jobs stepped down from leading the most valuable company in the world, but if we don’t “stop and look around once in a while,” we’ll miss the really gorgeous places in this world like this week’s wallpaper. All this hustle and bustle and paying the bills will be here when we get back. And if you need an excuse, you can borrow mine:
Um, he’s sick. My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw [Patrick] pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
In the meantime, download this beautiful vista captured from the well trafficked overlook above Trunk Bay on St. John. Think of it as kind of a nicotine patch forย Needtotravelitis.
