Saturday Video: Run The Night 5K Electric Glow Run, St. Thomas
Uncommon travel is many things, but above it’s active. Hiking, sailing, surfing, canyoning, kiteboarding, snorkeling, diving – if it gets us up, moving, and actively in-tune with the people and places that make the Caribbean so special, then you’ll often find us doing it.
If these active pursuits are competitive, have a built-in party component, and benefit a local charity, even better!
It’s no wonder, then, that we’re so excited about the Run The Night 5K Electric Glow Run in St. Thomas.
Does this look like a great time, or what?!
One of a series of fun and sporty experiences organized by Active Island Tours & Events, the Run The Night 5K was held for the first time just last year. Around 400 runners participate (and party!) for a good cause, according to Active Island assistant event and tour coordinator Elizabeth Stelzenmuller…
Active Island incorporates a charity component into every event that we have. For this particular run, the Family Resource Center was our charity of choice. We have a silent auction and raffle at the after party that is open to everyone. 100% of these proceeds go to the Family Resource Center.
The Run The Night 5K is held twice each year, once in April with another race slated for the fall.
