Sea Grape Tunnel to the Sea in Le François, Martinique
Marble floors and gilded walls denote tony walkways at many luxury resorts. Not so at Cap-Est. At least not in the case of this idyllic arcade. The sea grape tunnel leads to the resort’s private jetty, a prime sunbathing spot. The shallow and somewhat rocky waters here aren’t the best for swimming. Steady breezes blowing in off Martinique’s Atlantic coast, though, make this spot absolutely ideal for kitesurfing. Sunning above the sea as colorful kites continuously fill the air all around you makes for a sublimely relaxing afternoon. An experience worthy of a beautifully uncommon breezeway.
